Khewra Salt Mine is one of the largest and oldest salt mines in the world, located near the town of Khewra, in the Punjab region of Pakistan. It is a major tourist attraction and a key part of the country's mining heritage. The mines are known for their rich deposits of Himalayan pink salt, which have been extracted for over 2,000 years. The salt mines are a fascinating place to explore, with stunning underground chambers, salt sculptures, and a unique, colorful landscape. Visitors can take guided tours of the mines, where they will learn about the history of salt mining, see large salt crystals, and explore the beautiful formations within the mine. The mines also feature an impressive "salt mosque," along with a small train ride to the deeper parts of the mine, making it a must-visit for history and nature enthusiasts alike.

• Please do not throw away trash or garbage of any type during the trip. The trip facilitator will collect garbage in trash bags at each location. It is our collective responsibility to keep our environment clean.
